Book Review ~ The Money Saving Mom’s Budget

  • Sharebar

Not too long ago I received a copy of The Money Saving Mom’s Budget by Crystal Paine (set to release January 10, 2012).  I’ve been a reader of MoneySavingMom for quite some time now and really looked forward to reading her book.

I found a few surprises in Crystal’s book.    Have you ever thought clutter could be causing you to overspend?  Hmm…hadn’t really thought of that before…but it’s so true!

In Chapter 2 Crystal talks about eliminating clutter from your life.  I’m not just talking about the clutter around your house, but the clutter in your personal life also.  Take me for example, I am always feeling like I’m behind…I’ve committed to too much….my list goes on and on.  I’ve got personal clutter and you’ll see next week I will have a plan to take care of this personal clutter with my new year’s resolutions.  :)   I’ll be taking Crystal’s advice from Chapter 2 and I’ll be streamlining my life so that I have time for what really matters.

In this book you’ll also find out how to set up the dreaded “B” word…a BUDGET.  Crystal lays it out step by step how to create your budget.  She makes it look so easy and I plan to read the chapter again when I sit down to do a new budget in the next week.  I liked that she suggests building up to a full-blown budget…she breaks this down in to a 3 month process.  It’s gradual and not a shock to the system.

Here’s something that might catch your attention…want to learn 10 Drastic Measures to Lower Your Expenses by at least $600 or more per month???  How about learning 25 Ways to Lower Your Grocery Bill Without Clipping Coupons?  Sign me up!

There’s something for everyone in this book.  You can pre-order your copy of The Money Saving Mom’s Budget by Crystal Paine right now.  This book is set to release next Tuesday, January 10th and will ship at that time.

I’m thinking we may be able to get a giveaway of this book going very soon!  Wouldn’t that be nice?  :)
